History

Team Bath Futsal Club was founded in February 2008 when the University of Bath held open trials over two days that saw over 50 players turn out. After the two days a squad was developed of around 18 players that began to train ready to enter the newly formed FA Regional Midlands League, the highest level of Futsal in England.

Team Bath Futsal Club's first competition that they entered was the Somerset County Futsal League in March 2008. They won the league with a 100% record and qualified for the 2nd and then 3rd round of the FA Futsal cup, missing out on the National Finals losing 6–5 in a London Play off. In the same year Team Bath made its Futsal debut in the National League (Midlands Conference) finishing 3rd in the league missing out the National Play offs for European Qualification by one place. The crowning moment of this season was a 3–2 victory over Loughborough University in front of 400 of their own fans winning the first ever Futsal Varsity.
